EPT Berlin Won by PokerStars Qualifier

Mr. Kevin who is the PokerStars qualifier has won EPT Berlin. He won first prize worth €1 million. He is a twenty-nine year old player from Idaho who defeated the player from Finland, Mr. Ilari to win the major poker tournament of Germany and the first ever EPT in the capital of Germany.
Along with the title, Mr. Kevin also won a seat at EPT Grand Final which will is scheduled to take place in Monte Carol in the month of April. There were more than seven hundred players from 47 countries who took part in €5,299 Main Event making the full prize pool of €7,724,000. Mr. Kevin has a great past record where he had won seats at EPT events, but he has never won big money. Since the start of Season 5, he has been following EPT course and he has also taken part in fifteen events out of which he has won seats in 14. Mr. Kevin was one of the 241 players who managed to win the seats at EPT Berlin on PokerStars.
Mr. Kevin is also known for breaking the PokerStars record for a large amount of points at Tournament Leader Board in April 2008. In this tournament he gathered over hundred thousand dollars in a month. At EPT Berlin he found himself again competing against Mr. Ilari. The first time they faced each other, was in the month of October in a £1,000 side event at EPT London which was won by Ilari. Mr. Kevin said that he really enjoyed winning EPT and he really gave his best for this. He added that Mr. Ilari is quite a competitive player and he really respects him.
EPT Berlin which was organized by Casino SPIELBANK Berlin, which was disrupted during Day 4 of the event, when an armed robbery occurred. The gunmen immediately aimed at the registration desk at Grand Hyatt Hotel. It is reported that no one was badly injured and the gunmen managed to escape after the security guard reached the scene. The tournament started again and the investigation is being done by the police.
Mr. Ilari was playing a huge pot with Mr. Luca from Italy at the time of raid. Mr. Luca was leading along with AQ v Mr. Ilari’s AT. But when the event started again, the director of the tournament Mr. Thomas said that the players can deem their hands dead and they can have their chips back. Despite of losing the hand, Mr. Ilari said that the river card should be dealt. Mr. Ilari who is a professional poker player, he made a comment that he wanted to play the game in true spirit. Later on Mr. Ilari defeated Mr. Luca and he won second position with €600,000.
Some of the other players who were the important part of EPT Berlin Main Event were Team PokerStars expert Mr. Jude went out in the nineteenth position with €23, 500, and EPT Live Commentator from Russia Mr. Ilya who won sixteenth position for €24,000. Other Team PokerStars experts were Mr. George, Mr. William, Mr. Strassman, Mr. Ben, Mr. Vlad, and Mr. Briton. For EPT Berlin side events, Team PokerStars expert Mr. Noah came at 5th position in €1,000 PLO tournament and Team PokerStar Ms. Fatima reached the final of €330 Ladies Event.
